Biography

I grew up on a Colorado farm in a family of 8 kids, spending 10 years in 4-H. I attended the University of Colorado and earned a BA in Marketing and MBA. My marketing career started in banking and then I moved to manufacturing and distribution. I worked in a wide array of industries, including specialty foods, educational toys, water treatment, office furniture, storage products for electronics, and petroleum information. Following a 20-year career in corporate marketing, I switched to the travel and tourism industry and got trained as a Travel Manager. This involved taking Americans abroad on luxury travel programs. I also worked in every aspect of the tourism industry: hospitality, transportation, tour guiding and destination management. After 911, I earned a Master of Travel Administration from The George Washington University to consult communities seeking to develop sustainable tourism. This 20-year career ended with Covid, but gave me time to become involved in the League. I am still passionate about travel, but preserving the privacy of reproduction and enabling women to have control of their future is paramount!
